I bought the 16g Touch in april 08 for $369, including the "upgraded software", I see that now it is under $300. I was never able to get the wifi to work, could hardly keep a charge on the battery, then put it down for several months because I was too busy to mess with it or sit down and read the manual. This week I had some time off from work and thought I would get my Touch set up and going. Dang if the screen is now frozen, "slide to unlock" will not respond and I can't even get the stupid thing to turn off. for about 30 seconds I had audio, but then the song started skipping and the stupid thing froze up again. I thought this was "flash drive", I could understand skipping if it was a hard drive. I do not understand what could be wrong, and I don't want to spend another $100 trying to figure it out. I am ready to put it in a drawer, chalk it up to stupidly wanting the latest and greatest from apple, and going back to my little shuffle until I can muster up the courage to purchase another iPod and get the Nano. Yes I have pressed the button about 3000 times, but for that price it should work longer than 9 months and 3000 presses. I am still within the warranty but now I have to pay a minimum of $32 to have it looked at. SHAME ON YOU APPLE!!! 用户打分: 用户总结: Ipod touch keeps crashing 用户评语: The software on this thing is extremely buggy and will crash if you try and do anything, even just listen to music. Several times a day it crashes on me, more if i even think about getting on the internet. When it crashes sometimes it will just freeze the screen and stay like that for hours until the battery dies and i have to recharge it. I went to the apple store, hoping to get it fixed, and the "geniuses" at the bar told me to just wait for the new firmware. Well i paid ten dollars to update my firmware and now it crashes even more frequently. i cannot in good conscience recommend this device to anybody else. 用户打分: 用户总结: hope you live in a temperate climate... 用户评语: Obviously from all these other reviews this is by far the most functional product out there, and I'm not disputing that at all, I loved my Ipod touch, but they have a ridiculously short lifespan. The kicker is that if you as much as sweat on it or expose it to rapidly changing temperatures (as is common in the upper midwest) your warranty is voided and your Ipod might not last long at all. I just lost an Ipod touch due to moister condensation from taking it from 30 degree weather to 70 degree weather. That created enough condensation to trip the water marker inside the Ipod which voids the warranty and shorted out the screen. To top it off; that one was actually a replacement for another Ipod touch because the first one I got had a phone jack that broke within a month of normal use, and then this one had a faulty screen due to "water damage" and now Apple conveniently doesn't have to replace it anymore. Just read some of the discussions on Apples site about Ipods and water damage, it literally takes just one drop of water to short it out and void the warranty. So if your getting one my advice is to live somewhere that doesn't get too cold or put you in situations that allow moisture condensation to happen. 用户打分: 用户总结: Reach out and touch someon, but not the I-Touch 用户评语: I bought my I-Touch to mainly get online at an open wireless location, but it had difficulty getting online, even at my own house where I have three computers connected to a wireless home network....? It would sometimes connect, but mostly not. I sent it back....!
