They were comfortable in the ears and had pretty decent sound quality. I liked the case idea but quickly found out that it was poorly designed and a pain to use. I wondered if they even tried it out before sending it off with the product. Within a week, I grew to hate the buds. I was constantly having to reset them in my ear as they would slowly creep out, especially when sweating. One of the primary purposes I purchased these was for workouts. Of course I tried the different sized buds and none did the trick. Also, depending on how they seated in my ear, it would change the sound properties. Well, I have lived with it and now, about 3 months later, one of the buds has ceased to function. I haven't even used them that much and am always careful to take care of my stuff. It is extrememly disappointing. Anyway, I have since replaced them with a similar, but far superior product from Sony. Yes, they were more expensive, but I guess you get what you pay for. Just wish I would have bought the Sony earbuds first and I wouldn't have anything to gripe about and I would have more money in my pocket! The Sony MDR-EX51LP has a very noticeably superior sound quality and they seat much more comfortably and securly in the ear. The Sony buds do not have a volume control on the cord like the skullcandy buds, but really I found that volume control more annoying than handy during my brief life with the skullcandy product. Sony buds or not, just don't waste your time with this product. It is my opinion that these buds are low-end, cleverly named and marketed for millions of young people. It is my advice to stick to the companies who have a long established a reputation in the industry. 用户打分: 用户总结: Give out easily, and the covers will come off. 用户评语: After being doubly disappointed by this product, I felt compelled to take the time to actually write a review which is something I RARELY do. So I bought this product based on my Bf's recommendation. After about two months, one of the ear buds gave out. I contacted Skullcandy and they were great about it and just requested to send back the ear buds for new ones, which I received in a timely manner. Satisfied with their customer service, I was happy to have had my Smokin' Ear Buds replaced at no charge. However, after three months of regular use at the gym, one of the buds gave out yet AGAIN. I'm thoroughly disappointed with this product. I wanted to give them the benefit of the doubt and thought I had bought a defective pair the first time around... but sadly, this product is of poor quality. I'm moving on to the V-Moda Bass-Freq... Good bye Skullcandy. 用户打分: 用户总结: don't bother 用户评语: I have now had three pairs of these. While the first pair was stolen, I liked the sound quality enough to buy another pair. The second pair lost sound in the right side. I thought perhaps I just got unlucky with that one and bought another pair. The same thing is happening in that pair-the right side is going out-and I have only had them a few months. That sounds like a manufacturing problem to me. I was using a pair of ipod buds on my sansa e250, but they were just painful after a few hours. Comfort on these is much better, but the sound was shockingly muffled at low volume (which I tend to use them at). It was if treble and midrange was filtered, like some kind of instant Dolby noise reduction. Awful. I immediatley went to the equalizer to try and "fix" the problem with no success. Very disappointing and I would return them but I feel bad because my boys picked them out and I don't have the heart to tell them they're terrible. Also, they look cool in the package, but when you get them in your hand the wires and build quality remind me of something you would get at the drugstore for 99 cents. 用户打分: 用户总结: Short life span, bad customer service 用户评语: When I first got these earbuds, I was ecstatic - they were so much more comfortable than the other earbuds I owned (stock ipod buds and Sennheiser). After about two months, the sound from the left earbud gave out. My nephew, who also had a pair, experienced loss of sound in both buds after a couple of weeks. After he exchanged them for a new pair, his new pair also started giving him problems after a few weeks. The sound was choppy and only worked if the wires were twisted a certain way. I tried to contact Skullcandy by email and through their website (which promises a response within 48 hours). It has been 2 weeks and I have yet to receive a response. A lifetime warranty is useless if the company doesn't bother to honor it. I agree that the case is useless and poorly designed. It is also quite strange that some have symmetrical cords and some have assymetrical cords. There is no way to tell which one you have as the boxes are not marked so you can distinguish one from the other. I used to think that the volume control was a cool feature but after a while the control unit began to feel heavy. I would not buy this product again.
